Set in the 1980s, this is the story of 12-year-old Oktay, who is finally reunited with his parents after years apart. During this time, he has been under the guardianship of his grandmother in Turkey. Oktay finds himself in Germany, where the social and cultural landscape could not be further from his homeland's, thousands of kilometres away from everything he ever knew. A coming-of-age drama, this is a story of strength and resilience. Oktay has to learn to stand on his own two feet at a very early age, facing life's challenges as they come.
