The Writer Jürgen Becker - In the Hell of Silence

Jürgen Becker is one of the most important writers and poets of contemporary German literature. He has received the Gruppe 47 Prize, the Heinrich Böll Prize and numerous other awards. In July 2012 Jürgen Becker turned 80 years old. Filmmaker Christoph Felder deliberately gives the word only to the writer himself, and Becker speaks openly - about his homeland and childhood, about post-war Germany and New York, as well as about the time and the colleagues of Gruppe 47. Becker also talks about writing, about the hell of silence and the thoughts, words and sentences that want to be formulated.
