Happiness

The mysterious Kanzaki (Masatoshi Nagase, PATERSON) travels to a small town, somewhere in Japan. In his luggage he has a homemade happiness machine: The strangely shaped helmet allows its wearer to relive the most beautiful moments of his own life. The news quickly spreads and the inhabitants of the sleepy little town are completely jolted out of their lethargy. But only Kanzaki can operate the helmet. Everyone rallies around the newcomer: the people want to relive their happiest memories and make him an honorary citizen overnight. What they don't know: The machine can recall equally horrific events. When Kanzaki's own past finally catches up with him, everything changes and he becomes an avenging angel.
