There is not much variety in the life of young Marcos (17) as a farmer's son in rural Argentina. Everyday life is dominated by school and the tough cattle business. And although Marcos also supports his mother not only in the household, but also with handicrafts and hair care, only clear gender roles apply in his conservative and homophobic family: Woman and man.
Marcos, however, feels differently. He is interested in boys and therefore secretly slips into the role of the pretty "Marilyn" at carnival. Only in this way can Marcos finally flirt freely with boys, dance, laugh and simply be himself. Because of his homosexual tendencies, however, Marcos soon experiences violence and rejection from his family and peers, but he also finds his first love in the handsome Federico. However, as his environment becomes increasingly hostile to him and pushes him emotionally into a corner, Marcos finds himself forced to break out of his stifling life.
