Dilili in Paris

The girl Dilili came to Paris from New Caledonia at the beginning of the 20th century. Dilili wants to know exactly how people live in the French capital and what they think. In doing so, she gets into an exciting adventure, because more and more girls and women in Paris are disappearing without a trace! So Dilili becomes a detective who gets on the trail of a criminal gang. "Dilili in Paris" is a great aesthetic experience. Director Michel Ocelot created a visually sumptuous animated film whose tableau-like compositions are full of sophisticated references, subtle quotations and knowledgeable recreations: He brings to life the time of the Belle Epoque, when Paris was one of the great metropolises of intellectual, artistic and scientific development at the beginning of the 20th century.
