Bastards

Cargo ship captain Marco Silvestri (Vincent Lindon) is hastily called back to Paris: His sister Sandra's husband has committed suicide, the couple's company is bankrupt and their daughter has completely drifted away. According to Sandra, the blame lies with businessman Edouard Laporte (Michel Subor). Marco rents an apartment in the house where Laporte's mistress Raphaëlle (Chiara Mastroianni) also lives with her son. He seduces Raphaëlle in order to get closer to Laporte and find out more about his true motives and connection to his brother-in-law. In the course of his research and in a journey to the end of the night for which there is no return ticket, Marco reveals the depths of darkness and corruption...
