Kyiv, Ukraine, 2020 or thereabouts: Introverted high school student Masha sees herself as an outsider when she's not hanging out with Yana and Senia, who share her status as a nonconformist. While navigating an intense time before graduation, Masha falls in love and is forced to leave her comfort zone. This film provides a look into the hearts and lives of a group of teenagers in Ukraine. Stop Zemlia - stop the world! The cinematic narrative is repeatedly interrupted by interviews in which the director confronts the actors with questions about what is happening in the film. Asked whether those interview episodes were true or not, director Kateryna Gornostai said in an interview: "I can say that all the things we have in these interviews are both fictional and true. It was the actors’ decision to be honest or not about what exactly the true parts were. But I'm grateful to them that there is, in the end, a lot of truth in these interviews."
