Mothers and Daughters

Child or career? Rigby faces one of the most difficult decisions of her life. She works in New York as a photographer and is on the verge of a career leap for which she has been working for a long time. Shortly before her promotion, she learns that she is pregnant. Should she give birth to the baby or decide to have an abortion? The child's father has disappeared, so Rigby would become a single mother. The pregnant woman begins to take an interest in mothers and daughters – and their complicated relationship – as a photographer, and in doing so, finds a completely new approach to the subject. She tells five different stories in her pictures, which are linked to one another. In doing so, she encounters all the facets of family life. Secrets, love, arguments, reconciliation and closeness become more tangible.
