Marieme lives with her family in the Parisian banlieue. Her mother provides the income, her older brother bosses everyone around and she looks after her younger sisters. Things are no better outside the family. Boys set the tone in the neighborhood and school is a dead end. But then she comes to the attention of a cool gang of three girls who take liberties Marieme has only dreamed of. She is taken in and from then on is called Vic (like Victory). From now on, life is fun: Vic skips class, changes her appearance and engages in skirmishes with rival gangs with her new friends. This new life is supposed to be her path to independence.
